The whole charge-to-mobile market is rich in potential, but still waiting for its big moment.
In a new report, analyst Ovum forecasts that moment may be imminent. It says charge to bill revenues will increase to $24.7 billion in 2019 from the $14.5 billion in 2014.
The report, commissioned by Neomobile, reveals that app stores will be key to the surge. It says they accounted for only 14 per cent of carrier billing revenue in 2014, but will comprise the majority of income by 2019. Currently, most revenues come from online games, social media and mobile content.
